A prosecutor’s main job is to keep our community safe. This includes holding violent offenders accountable, supporting victims, and making sure justice is done fairly, quickly, and without unnecessary delays.
LIST OF ISSUES
Put Public Safety First
The prosecutor’s office should focus its energy on violent crime and repeat offenders. When someone threatens the safety of our community, they must be held accountable.
Support and Stand With Victims
Victims deserve to be heard, informed, and supported throughout the process. The prosecutor’s office should never lose sight of the people most affected by crime.
Experienced Judgment
After years in the courtroom, I understand what makes a strong case and what causes cases to fall apart. That experience has prepared me to make sound decisions and hold offenders accountable the right way.
A Full-Time Prosecutor. No Distractions.
The prosecutor should be an active presence in the courtroom and in the community. I believe the prosecutor should work alongside deputy prosecutors, assist with serious cases, and stay engaged with law enforcement and victims. Leadership means being present, prepared, and fully committed to doing the job.
Making Victims Whole
As Prosecutor, I will make restitution enforcement a priority and bring a full-time commitment back to this office because justice isn’t just about convictions; it’s about making victims whole.
Efficient Justice
The prosecutor’s office should be organized, prepared, and professional. When cases sit too long, victims are left waiting, law enforcement is frustrated, and the community loses confidence in the system. I will focus on reducing the backlog and ensuring cases move efficiently so justice is delivered in a timely and consistent way.
Transparency and Communication
The justice system works best when the community trusts it. That trust comes from clear communication and consistent decision-making.
The prosecutor’s office should communicate openly with victims, work closely with law enforcement, and be transparent with the public about how decisions are made. Similar cases should be handled similarly, with clear standards that people can understand and rely on.
I will ensure the office communicates clearly, applies consistent practices, and builds trust through transparency and accountability.
